Two days full of enjoyment, joie de vivre and South African flair
On 28 and 29 August 2026, Wädenswil will once again become the meeting place for everyone who loves South African wine, cuisine and culture. The South Africa Days at KapWeine bring the spirit of the Cape directly to the shores of Lake Zurich. Two days filled with encounters, discoveries and unforgettable moments of enjoyment.
Wine, enjoyment and encounters
This year, too, the focus is on the wines. More than 10 producers from South Africa will be travelling to present their wines in person. You’ll have the opportunity to meet the winemakers, learn the stories behind their wines, and discover the diversity of South Africa’s wine regions, one glass at a time.
The tasting will take place on Friday from 4 pm to 8 pm and on Saturday from 12 pm to 8 pm. From well-known classics to exciting new discoveries, a wide selection awaits you. The range will be complemented by exclusive event highlights and selected wines at attractive special prices.
Cuisine, Braai and authentic South African moments
What would a South African celebration be without a braai? Freshly prepared specialities await you at the grill station, accompanied by matching wines and refreshing drinks. The grill is open on Friday from 5 pm to 9 pm and on Saturday from 12 pm to 9 pm. Alongside the culinary highlights, additional tasting stations and offerings ensure there is something for everyone. An authentic experience that goes far beyond a traditional wine tasting.
Music, culture and atmosphere
The South Africa Days are more than a wine event. They are an experience for all the senses. Live music creates the perfect atmosphere, while exhibitions featuring art and craftsmanship offer further insights into South African culture. Exciting talks and presentations on wine, travel and lifestyle are also planned, creating an atmosphere that combines enjoyment with inspiration.
Highlights and special experiences
In 2026, you can once again look forward to a wide range of highlights. These include a potential MCC showcase, exclusive wine presentations by producers, and a major prize draw featuring attractive South Africa-themed prizes.
Another special experience could once again be the shuttle service, bringing guests comfortably to Wädenswil. A live broadcast of a rugby highlight is also planned, promising even more excitement.
